Who we are, what we stand for, and how we play the game.
Marana FC is a developmental competitive youth soccer team based in Marana, Arizona. We were founded with a simple goal: give kids in our community a place to grow as soccer players and as people, in an environment that's competitive without being cutthroat, and serious without losing the joy of the game.
We play under the AYSO 350 Alliance banner and represent AYSO Region 206. Our launch team for the 2026–2027 season — running from late August 2026 through late April 2027 — is the 14U Boys.
Team: Marana FC 14U Boys
Affiliation: AYSO 350 Alliance, representing AYSO Region 206
Age Group: 14U Boys
Season: Late August 2026 – Late April 2027
The 14U Boys are our starting point — but they're not where we plan to stop. The long-term vision is to grow Marana FC into a multi-team club, with additional rosters across different age groups and genders. We want to build something that lasts: a place where kids in Marana can play competitive soccer from their first cleats through their last youth season, with continuity of coaching, philosophy, and community.
Growth over winning.
Of the player. And the person.
Wins are nice. Growth is the point.
This isn't a tagline — it's how decisions get made. When playing time, lineup choices, or substitution patterns come down to a tradeoff between development and a result, we choose development. Every time. The wins follow when the work is right.
We prioritize long-term skill development over short-term results. Every practice and every game is a chance for players to get better — technically, tactically, and as teammates.
How we compete matters as much as whether we win. Respect for officials, opponents, teammates, and the game itself is non-negotiable.
We play to win. We also play to enjoy it. The best teams compete fiercely and support each other relentlessly — those things aren't in tension.
Practice plans follow USSF age-appropriate development principles. Sessions are structured around clear technical and tactical themes, not random drills.
Every player on the roster plays at least half of every game, barring injury or discipline. We honor the AYSO Everyone Plays principle even in a comp environment.
